About the Author
Brigitte S. Dubiel is a native German born in Frankfurt am Main. After moving to the United States and finally making her home in Texas, Dubiel taught German for many years, first at the Berlitz School of Languages, later at the Extended Education Division of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. For many people taking her German classes, they did not last long enough to really get “into the meat of the language” — and they often came to an end “just as we were having fun!” Therefore, after being urged to do so, Brigitte started teaching at her home or the home of a student. Her private classes were very successful; some of the students continued learning German with her for as long as five to eight years.
Those years of teaching experience are reflected in this unique German grammar book, in which the author uses Hagar® and Peanuts® cartoons in German to enliven the practical exercises found in the book.
