Manuscript Submissions

We invite the submission of manuscripts from authors or agents, with content that reflects our guidelines. Our primary focus is on non-fiction works related to the people, history, language and cultures of German-speaking Europe and their American connections, as well as works for learning the German language. We do not publish poetry, short stories or novels.

Format

Print or electronic submissions should be submitted with normal font sizes and spacing. (Double-spacing is optional.)

Print Submissions

Hard-copy print manuscripts should be sent to our mailing address. Please note that we cannot return works submitted in print. Any work accepted for publication will have to be submitted in electronic format (PDF, Word).

Electronic Submissions

We accept manuscripts in the following electronic formats: Plain text, PDF, Word. Send electronic submissions to submissions@humboldtamerican.com.
